About

I am a South African fursuit maker with my first head made in 2020 after being in the fandom for several years. Any materials that can be sourced locally are done so.Each piece is made with care and consideration. I would rather take a little extra time to get something done properly to ensure both myself and the client get an end product they are happy with.

Terms of Service

TOS for custom workOverview

These TOS (terms of service) apply to all custom projects. Kiki’s Creations reserves the right to deny service to anyone for any reason. Terms are subject to change.By commissioning Kiki’s Creations for custom work, you agree to these terms. This is to be considered a legally binding contract which includes any additional terms outlined and agreed upon by both parties in writing (including email and instant message)

Pet Allergy Notice

Both cats and dogs reside on the premises where items are made and are often in the craft room. If you have any allergies, please take this into consideration before commissioning me.

Quotes

A quote will be created on a case by case basis and vary for each customer. This is based on the complexity of the design, materials required, and potential additional features. Quotes are not valid permanently and are subject to change over time. Quotes are valid for a maximum of 6 months or as long as the commission slot is open - whichever changes first.

Payment

Pricing seen on the pricing page is only a guide and is not to be seen as the final amount. Each commission requires a quote sent by Kiki’s Creations with the amount to be paid. If the amount changes during the process for any reason, a new quote will need to be sent.
All quotes are made in USD($) for international clients or ZAR(R) for RSA clients. RSA clients will be required to show proof of citizenship to receive the ZAR prices (ID card, etc).Any pieces that require fur or large amounts of material - all non-prop pieces - will require a non-refundable down payment which changes depending on the piece requested. Fullsuits require a 30% deposit, partials and heads require 40% deposit, small parts and kigus require 50% deposit. This deposit will also secure your place in the queue.Payment is to be made through PayPal for international customers. South Africans may pay through Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) or PayPal at the customer’s choice. Kiki’s Creations will send an invoice through PayPal to the customer. If you have any discounts, this will show in the invoice. If payment for the deposit is not paid within 1 week (7 days) you forfeit your slot.Payment plans are available on request for larger items (fullsuits, partials, heads) and can be made weekly, fortnightly, or monthly. This needs to be fully discussed before the start of the commission and failure to pay on time will cause the commission to be put on hold until the payment is up to date.

Refunds And Cancelations

Kiki’s Creations have the right to cancel a commission at any time if the customer becomes violent, threatening, rude, or harasses Kiki’s Creations in any way.If you wish to cancel a commission, the deposit is non-refundable. If work has not been started, you will receive the rest of the payment.If you wish to cancel a commission and work has been started, Kiki’s Creations will determine the refunded amount based on work that has already been done.If Payment is overdue for 1 month, without contact or prior warning, the commission is considered cancelled. Cancelled commissions may be resold (props) or torn down for material salvage.If you are having a rough financial spot and are unable to pay for an extended time, a long term hold can be discussed - commissions can be held for a maximum of 1 year.

Shipping

All shipping is not included in the original quote. Shipping costs will be covered by the customer.
Shipping in RSA will be done through PostNet or UPS. International will be shipped through DHL.The item will not be shipped until payment has been made for shipping - each item may vary in size and weight, changing how much it will cost for shipping. Kiki’s Creations will send an invoice for shipping costs separately. The customer can request shipping insurance at their own cost.Once payment has been made, Kiki’s Creations will notify the customer of the tracking details. Kiki’s Creations will attempt to package the items as safely as possible, however, any damages that are incurred from travel and poor package management are out of Kiki’s Creations’ power.

Repairs and Warrenty

Each item has a 3-month warranty that includes free repairs. This includes popped seams, missing items (such as buttons or edging) or other manufacturing faults. Any of these construction issues must be brought to my attention within the first 3 months of delivery. Kiki’s Creations will repair these issues at no cost to the client except for shipping.The warranty does not cover customer damage such as stains, heat damage or mildew.
The warranty is considered void if there are alterations to the item, intentional damage, or the item is used in strenuous activity (roughhousing, sports, etc).Self-repair is suggested for smaller issues such as small seam rips. This saves time and money for both the customer and Kiki’s Creations. Kiki’s Creations is also willing to help with a customer who wishes to do their own repairs via video call if the repairs are minor. This service is valid for up to 1 year after delivery of the item.After warranty, the customer can send items back for repairs at 10$ per hour plus shipping and handling costs.

Concept Art and Changes

Before a quote can be sent, Kiki’s Creations requires a Safe for Work (SFW) reference sheet of the character design that clearly shows all the marking of said characters. How much the sheet needs depends on the item being requested. Kigus and fullsuits need a reference that shows a front and back view of the body. Partials may not need the full-body reference, but the front and back view of the head and other parts being ordered are necessary. If a reference is not sufficient, the customer will be notified before the commission starts. The customer can request an updated reference sheet from Kiki’s Creations at an extra fee, or look elsewhere for an artist.Once the reference is accepted and the down payment is made, the reference is considered finalised. Any extras (eyelids, extra tongues, extra handpaws, etc) can be added at any time for a cost agreed upon by both parties.Design changes may be requested at any time, however, they may be impossible or incur large fees to make. Design changes that alter major patterns or colours are likely to increase time drastically as well as price.

Work in Progress Images (WIPs) and Updates

Updates and photos will be supplied regularly at each major step of the process. Some are simply to update the customer, however, most are awaiting customer approval before moving on to the next steps.Please be aware of these update photos, as if confirmation takes long, that delays the creation process.You may request WIP photos to see progress and/or specific parts. Please do not request these too often. Having to stop regularly may hinder the process or even be considered harassment and lead to the cancellation of the commission. If you are unsure about what would be a reasonable amount to request, a maximum of once a week is allowed. (Requesting further information about a WIP that has been sent will not count towards this. Please feel free to ask questions about what you see)

Completion Times and Rush Orders

Kiki’s Creations will not have set dates for completion for most projects. If a customer wants an order completed before a specific time or event, a rush fee may apply. These orders will also require full payment. Orders that do not have a reasonable time frame will not be considered even with a rush payment.Orders that have been fully paid will take precedence over items that are on a payment plan. Fully paid items will receive an estimate as to their completion date, whereas payment plan orders will only be completed upon full payment, or receive an estimated completion time upon full payment.If Kiki’s Creations is unable to complete a rush job before a deadline, the rush payment will be refunded. Any deadlines missed due to shipping delays are not Kiki’s Creations’ responsibility and will not be held liable.Kiki’s Creations prioritises quality over quantity, and thus is against rushing orders to ensure that each item leaving the workshop is a quality everyone is happy with.

Sizing

All fullsuits will require a Duct Tape Dummy (DTD) made by the customer and shipped to Kiki’s Creations. All DTDs must be high quality and be able to stay together when stuffed. Any faults in the DTD can cause suits to not fit properly, thus may ne sent back for corrections or discarded for a new DTD to be sent to Kiki’s Creations on the customer’s cost.Small items such as heads, paws, or feet each require specific measurements that will be requested upon the beginning of the commission.Kigus will require measurements seen on a chart that will be sent to the customer before the quote is agreed upon.Any items that do not fit due to customer error can be altered for an extra fee.
Any items that do not fit due to error from Kiki’s Creations will be altered for free under the warranty rules.

Age

All those commissioning Kiki’s Creations must be of 18 years or older to agree to these terms. You may be asked to show identification to prove that you are at least 18.
Kiki’s Creations are willing to work with people under 18 - minimum age of 14. However, all correspondence is to be done through a parent/legal guardian.

Licensed Characters

I will not accept any commission of other people’s characters (eg, Telephone, Pocari Roo, etc).
I will not accept any copyrighted character (eg: Mickey Mouse, Twilight Sparkle, etc).
However, original characters based on premade content is welcome (eg: pokemon sonas, MLP sonas, etc).If a commission is accepted and then discovered to be a stolen or copyrighted character, the commission is immediately cancelled by Kiki’s Creations.

Privacy Statement

Both the customer and Kiki’s Creations’ information is considered private and is not to be shared with any third parties. This includes addresses, phone numbers, email, and legal names. This information will not be stored and will only be used to create and ship your order.

Other

Items bought from Kiki’s Creations can not be sold for more than the purchase price minus 10%. If art is part of the sale, the art must be valued the difference. The items from Kiki’s Creations can never exceed the 90% of cost amount for resell.Once items have been received, please tag Kiki’s Creations in social media posts where the items are being displayed.Kiki’s Creations are not liable for injury or harm that occurs from overheating in suit or similar injuries. It is up to the customer to be aware of their limits and have a sufficient handler.
